101 CLUB: BEGINNER CLASS

WHAT IS THE 101 CLUB?

The purpose of the 101 Club is to teach the basic movements and principles of Crossfit and prepare athletes for the regular group sessions. In order to attend regular classes, students are highly recommended to take at least six 101 Club classes.

Each class will be set up like our regular classes to include a warm up, skill/strength and a workout. The first two classes will be a FREE TRIAL period after which you must either register for a monthly membership or pay a drop in fee for any additional class. At the end
of the six classes, you will be able to present safe and sound movement patterns of all the movements needed to participate in group classes. Our goal is to give you a solid foundation for you to life a fulfilling, active lifestyle.

101 Club runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7am and 7 pm. Stop in for a FREE class.

Why Personal Training instead of CrossFit?

Ever wonder why you have chronic knee/back/shoulder pain? Do you blame age as the reason why you can’t keep doing what you love? Here at Crossfit Kuleana, we do not mask the pain that you feel. In fact, we do quite the opposite.

Our personal training process begins with an in-depth evaluation that encompasses all aspects of wellness and determines where you could use the most improvement. We then work together to build out a plan to address all aspects of wellness, focusing on those that will help you reach your goals and even reach beyond them. The program will include a 1 hour session two or three times per week, nutrition advice, and self work that will all make sure your machine (body) is tuned up and running exactly the way it was designed to.

BODY TUNE UP- KULEANA ATHLETIC RECOVERY

Just like a car needing routine maintenance, so does the body need its own form of maintenance to keep up with the demands put upon it. We’ve created Kuleana Athletic Recovery to provide services to people from all types of sporting backgrounds while specializing in Functional Movement Therapy (FMT). Providing this type of service in Hawai`I allows people to keep doing what they love, longer, and better; giving them the ability to reach that next level.

Kuleana Athletic Recovery (KAR) is Oahu’s premier athletic recovery facility. Our sessions utilize Functional Movement Therapy(FMT_ in conjunction with athletic recovery products. FMT sessions are based upon muscular strength rehabilitation/re-education, and pain relief. Our FMT sessions conducted by our knowledgeable staff Athletic Recovery Specialists who are well-versed in understanding the body as a system. With this, we have proven results to provide drastic relief in pain with increases in strength and range of motion. KAR works with high-level athletes, all the way to the weekend warrior looking got optimize their performance. Prospective clients are able to select from the following services provided:

Functional Movement Screenings:

15- min Functional Movement Assessment: Athletic Recovery Specialists utilize a proprietary functional movement screening to give clients a better idea of what could be causing their point of referred pain. From this we are able to create a Functional Movement Therapy session based on their needs.

Functional Movement Therapy

Body Tune-up (excludes athletic recovery products/services)

15-min Functional Movement Therapy: Following an initial screening, Athletic Recovery Specialists are able to create a FMT plan to decrease the level of pain while increasing range of motion and strength within the body.

Full-services

30-min Functional Movement Therapy: Following an initial screening, Athletic Recovery Specialists create an FMT session based upon the needs of the client. Each plan is designed to decrease the level of pain, while increasing range of motion and strength within the body. The 30-min FMT session combines athletic recovery products to increase the rate of recovery, which keeps you at your peak for the next training session.

1-hour Functional Movement Therapy” Following an initial Functional Movement Screening, ARS create an individualized FMT session based upon the needs of the client. Each plan is designed to decrease the level of pain, while increasing range of motion and strength within the body. The 1-hour FMT session combines athletic recovery products, along with functional neuromuscular activation to maximize the rate of recovery, which keeps you at your peak for the next training session.
