101 CLUB: BEGINNER CLASS

WHAT IS THE 101 CLUB?

The purpose of the 101 Club is to teach the basic movements and principles of functional movements and prepare athletes for the regular group sessions. In order to attend regular classes, students are highly recommended to take at least six 101 Club classes.

Each class will be set up like our regular classes to include a warm up, skill/strength and a workout. The first two classes will be a FREE TRIAL period after which you must either register for a monthly membership or pay a drop in fee for any additional class. At the end
of the six classes, you will be able to present safe and sound movement patterns of all the movements needed to participate in group classes. Our goal is to give you a solid foundation for you to life a fulfilling, active lifestyle.

Why Personal Training instead of Group Fitness?

Ever wonder why you have chronic knee/back/shoulder pain? Do you blame age as the reason why you can’t keep doing what you love? Here at Crossfit Kuleana, we do not mask the pain that you feel. In fact, we do quite the opposite.

Our personal training process begins with a complimentary in-depth evaluation that encompasses all aspects of wellness and determines where you could use the most improvement. We then work together to build out a plan to address all aspects of wellness, focusing on those that will help you reach your goals. Thr program is extremely flexible concerning your schedule. You will purchase a certain amount of 1 hour sessions and use them as you see fit. We encourage a consistent schedule, but we understand that life happens. We will fit you with a coach that will help you to achieve to your highest potential and make sure your machine (body) is tuned up and running exactly the way it was designed to.

HANDSTAND CLINICS

Learning a handstand can take a long time. Many people have high hopes and start working on handstands with a lot of enthusiasm only to give up when they don’t have a handstand in a week, month, or even year. Another common thing is to see people just working on it a few times a month and think it will just eventually happen. While the time it takes for learning a handstand is very individual, the process can be sped up. Devoting consistent time to practice and having a coach there to help you skip some of the common mistakes are two huge ways to do this. The Kuleana Handstand Group is designed to be a focused, potent month of classes to help you reach your handstand goals. Each month, you will receive a customized handstand program specifically for you at your current level – from never being upside down in your life to working on a one arm handstand. The group will be kept fairly small (10-15 people max) in order to make sure each person receives enough attention. We have an exclusive facebook group to post videos for form checks, discuss handstands, etc. The group will meet twice per week to keep the practice consistent. The group is open to all levels – the only requirement is that you are ready to dedicated time to the handstand for the month!

Nutrition can often be the deciding factor in reaching your fitness goals.  You can work out seven days a week for 2-3 hours a day and still not have a 6-pack if your nutrition is off.  Let us help you by educating you on proper eating habits.

Our services include a pre and post biometric assessment of your body composition as well as a 4-site circumference measurement.  When it comes to nutrition, data is important to track progress.  Included in this service will also be two 20 min consultations with a coach to help track your journey.
