Kuleana I Ke Kino… Responsibility of the Body
The word “kuleana” is a very deep Hawaiian word. At a shallow glance, it means “responsibility”. Looking deeper, one can view it as a burden. One step further and one will find a relationship. For example, if YOU take care of the Land, the Land will take care of YOU. Keeping these meanings in mind, we find Crossfit Kuleana: a responsibility that is a burden on one’s body. This burden creates long-term health. YOU take care of your body, your body will take care of YOU!
We believe that being “healthy” is more than just physical fitness and nutrition, which is why we strive for health AND wellness within our community. At Crossfit Kuleana our members are the ones making waves in their own personal lives by portraying wellness as a skill that one must constantly practice in everyday life. We educate our members on the skills they need to reach their goals to live a happy and fulfilling life. Join us on this journey. Learn with us; Play with us; Make waves with us.
The heart of Honolulu
Crossfit Kuleana is proud of our unique indoor/outdoor facility complete with two palm trees. While you are enjoying a great workout, you’ll experience the trade winds and beautiful views of the Ko`olau Mountain Range. The sunlight floods the gym with natural light, which is good for the soul!
We also have our Recovery Center upstairs from the gym where you can enjoy a “Body Tune Up”. Services range from a variety of myofascial release techniques to simple tape jobs. Check out the “Body Tune Up” Tab for more information.
At the end of the work out, you can take advantage of some of the supplements we offer at our reception desk. We carry a variety of products including FNX products, Fit Aid, Green Energy, etc.
Street parking is available 24 hours a day as well as metered parking directly across the street from the gym. If you are a visitor, think about renting a Biki bike from Waikiki and riding over for your workout! You get a nice view and a good warm up for your workout!
